Sanctuary – A Place for God

When the Lord directed the Israelites to build a place to be set apart, was He aiming for a physical place or of the heart? Why could it not have been both? Maybe it should be both. The physical tabernacle was the home of the Holy of Holies, the place where God dwells. But if God does not dwell within the heart of man, the tabernacle or the church won’t matter much. Yet, when those who call themselves God’s people have a relationship with Him, they cannot wait to open the doors of their sanctuary.
