I had a defining moment in my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ, a few years ago. It was a moment that has forever been etched into my being. In my 60 years on this planet, I have read the Bible on and off on a regular basis. At one point in my life, I followed the call to be a pastor of two churches. Yet, despite that fact, I never have read the scripture daily. But on Sunday, January 28, 2018, that changed. I began an adventure of reading the Bible daily. Throughout my life, I have started projects, novels, and relationships that have fizzled out. I am determined to never stop reading the word of God. 

I have found guidance, wisdom, comfort, and peace in reading God’s word. Recently, I have finished working on a few Bible devotionals to share with my readers. My desire is to share the experiences, hopes, and dreams in reading God’s word with you and in doing so, I hope you find hope and encouragement. As time and work allows, I hope to add to the list of studies for spiritual growth and biblical understanding.

Be Strong in the Lord is an eight day devotional delving into a few verses of the hundreds containing the word strong throughout scripture. It explores the practicality of the command of “Be strong and courageous” seen in the Old Testament and faith of the believer of relying on Jesus in the New Testament.
