Day Five – Wait for the Lord

Patience is such a difficult trait to nurture, but one that’s needed in an instant gratification world. Everything is at our fingertips; social media is quick with advice but short in application. Psalm 27:14 is a good example of how to learn and apply waiting on the Lord. While this single verse has sound words to live by, it shouldn’t be taken out of context with the rest of Psalm 27. David, the author, speaks with confidence and experience in his journey to how waiting on the Lord has benefited his daily walk. He has been surrounded by difficulty, suffering, and sorrow as he struggled with his attitude, fear, and faith.
