Sanctuary – A Place of Rest

Rest. It is so difficult to enjoy rest in these days with what the world throws at us. Our job is always urgent, our families are always calling, our need is always greater than yesterday. It seems there is no rest. Yet, we still strive to find rest. We go to bed later and get up earlier. Our minds are always moving on to what’s next. Even by slowing down because of the pandemic, we find ourselves just listening and reading the news of what’s happening around us and we’re tired. We find no rest. Rest cannot be found unless we stop and let God work in our lives. Let’s follow His lead. As Jesus said in Matthew 11, we can find rest in Him, we can find rest for our souls. We need a sanctuary for our souls and bodies.
