Self reflection

Whiter than snow

I am far from perfect, in fact, I’m far from it. Just as David cried out in Psalm 51, For I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me, it is true for me. It’s true for all of us. No one wants to admit their shortcomings, no one wants to relive their failures, no one wants to say they’ve fallen short. Yet, as we live and breathe, we are going to sin, we are going to fail. Here’s the thing about sin, Jesus came to take us from our sin. Even David knew this in Psalm 51:7. His words show us what he needed, Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. David knew God would take care of his sin, yes, even that intentional sin. As David did, we must come to God, admit our sin before Him, ask forgiveness, and turn away from our sin. Our heavenly Father will forgive us, He will clean us up, He will set us on the right path.
